Number Five is Alive

Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! V - Law vs Chaos is now live on Kickstarter.

This superb range of Heroic Scale Old-School style fantasy miniatures by master sculptor Darcy Perry of Star Hat Miniatures are the perfect thing for your RPG table.

The boys in blue.

Two main sets of figurines are available: Law ...and Chaos (as you may have guessed);
and if you acquire both, you'll also be rewarded with a selection of bonus Epic Hero minis ...a selection which is growing as the campaign progresses.

Bad boys bad boys...

One of the Epic bonus figurines was actually based on a character from a Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign I run. It was amazing seeing Brodo, the Eternally Cursed come to life!

The luckiest unlucky rogue who ever lived.

You too could have a custom designed figure of your favourite character lovingly crafted by the talented Mr Perry, by snapping up the one and only Legendary Hero pledge!

Strike while the sculpting tools are hot!

Jump on over to check out Darcy's Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! V - Law vs Chaos now.
You won't regret it!

A Fifth Helping of Doom!

Yes, he's back at it again.
Darcy Perry of Star Hat Miniatures, sculptor of some of the best Old-School Heroic-Scale minis this side of the black stump has returned with another slathering of pieces that your game table will not be able to do without.

Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! V "Law vs Chaos"...

The (not so) Usual Suspects.

This fifth, as you may have already guessed, KickStarter from Mr Perry's DLitDoD line is only days away from launch. Two to be precise. And with the amazing success of it's predecessors, I imagine this one will be no less than legendary.

Ready your pledge-pouches!

This time it is those age old adversaries ... Law and Chaos ... one side causing mischief and the other saying, in a firm but fair voice, 'No'.

No bull, you're not going to want to miss this one.

Not being able to have one without the other, I seriously advise all pledgers to put their names down for the full retinue of both factions. That way you'll also be able to get your sticky gauntlets on the Epic Hero... Amarok - Wolf Wizard!

He is truly Epic!

But wait, there's more!
This time 'round, Darcy has been joined by Anton Ducrot of Flytrap Factory, another fine Kiwi sculptor, who has added a giant, a troll, a treeman ...and Basil the boar into the mix.

Milton, his half-brother Cecil ...and Basil! Squeeeeee!

Well, if you're keen for some of these delicious figures, hand sculpted in purest green and cast in finest metal alloy and/or resin; and I know you are; head over to the Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! V "Law vs Chaos" KickStarter page in a couple of days! They'll be a waitin' for ya.

A selection of morsels from previous DLitDoD KickStarters;
painted by yours truly :)

The Doom Returns!

After two very successful KickStarters, Darcy Perry is back and badder than ever with a third... Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! III

Just over one week into it and it's already at six times its Funding Goal with the first of the Stretch Goals opened ...the many eyed Vel'Qhar; he's a real Party Monster :)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ...so many choices.

Eight new Heroic Scale, Old-School Style, delvers are currently available, with up to a possible five Legendary Pledge heroes joining their side; Vel'Qhar is open for business, and if funding hits 10k ...we'll be seeing something truly terrifying; The Dragon!

A shinier suit of armour has never been seen.

Squeeeeeeee!

Doesn't mind getting his hands hand dirty.

The full range of figures from both previous KickStarters: Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! and Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! II are also available as add-ons.

So, if you're keen for some of these beautiful figures, hand sculpted and lovingly cast in fine metal; and I know you are; head over to the Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! III KickStarter page and choose one of the fine selection of Pledges available!

Back in the Dungeon!

It seems like only mere days have passed since Darcy Perry of Star Hat Miniature's first amazingly successful KickStarter project, and already another is up and running ...and half way to its goal in little more than a day, if that.

Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! 2 is here, sporting a range of sweet new miniatures to suit your table-top RPG adventuring needs.

So far we have the below party of shady individuals, but I have a feeling we will be seeing more in the mix when those Stretch Goals start appearing and that Epic Pledge is snatched up.

From Chomsky the psychotic chainsaw-wielding gnome,
to Brynhildr the cross-dressing elven axe-man/maiden;
never a group of adventurers of more dubious morals has been known.

And then there's St. Andre Troll,
a fine shout out to Kenneth Eugene St. Andre, author of the superb Tunnels & Trolls RPG!
Watch that hammer!

So if you want in on some of this awesome heroic-scale fantasy pewter miniature action, head over now to Darcy's Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! 2 KickStarter page and get in on one of the pledges. You won't regret it.

A Star Hat has Risen!

Great news! Darcy Perry's "Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom!" Kickstarter has been funded.
There's still time to get in on it - and secure yourself this lineup of superb Heroic Scale miniature figurines, to be cast in cold hard metal, for your fantasy gaming table.

Did I mention it's been FUNDED!

A second Legendary Level Pledge has been acquired, so a new hero is being created by Mr Perry (check out his blog: Hits to Kill) at his sculpting table - that will become available to several of the backing pledge levels; Garm of Hrothmyr - Berserker Theologian...

Hammer-time.

The first push-goal sculpt is also in the making; Playing soon at a good port tavern near you: Allysia - Pirate Bard...

She can surely cut a fine tune.

I'm certainly looking forward to seeing these new pieces.

Congratulations Darcy on a successful Kickstarter!

Shooting for the Stars!

I have to say Darcy Perry's amazing Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! Kickstarter is coming along wonderfully.

Just 1 week in and it's reached 70% of it's goal.

Star Hat Miniatures: Heroic Scale Metal Figurines for RPGs -- Kicktraq Mini

Darcy has sculpted a superb selection of heroic-scale table-top miniatures for your dungeon crawling pleasure. And I just can't wait to see them in metal!

Here are a few of the brave band, ready for action...

Fighting Man, Finn ...just don't irritate his Axe.

Ser Holger - the eternally vigilant Paladin.

The ever-so-stealthy Assassin ...Hanzo.

One of the 5 Legendary Hero pledges has already been snatched up, which means a custom sculpt - sculpted to the pledger's specifications - is in the making and going to be added to the line-up, and will be available to all pledgers...

Father Alucard - Legendary Hero!
Sketched by Kevin Briones.

If you want to be one of the lucky few having your own custom creation sculpted by Mr Perry, you may not want to dally.

You can find updates and info regarding the Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! Kickstarter on the Star Hat Miniatures Facebook page, and also more of Darcy's fine work on his blog: Hits To Kill.

Happy Gaming!

Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom!

Recently a good friend and fellow gamer decided he'd try his hand at fantasy miniature sculpting.

He's a table top war-gamer and old school RPGer from way back, and has painted many a fine figure in his time. A plethora of the figures he has put a lick of paint to, Mr Darcy Perry has also converted in some way ... adding a sword here, a belt-pouch there ...a bearskin cape on a Barbarian, a beaded plait on a Dwarf, and each figure always wonderfully based.

But until earlier this year, he hadn't actually sculpted a full figure from scratch.

Early April, inspired, Darcy sat down at his workbench, picked up his sculpting tool and epoxy putty, and Sir Theobald (aka Ser Holger) was born ...

Well, the troupe has grown now to nine; each, one of the classic RPG achitypes - A bold knight, brawny barbarian, stout ranger, learned wizard, sly halfling, devout cleric, fearless amazon, surly dwarf and an ever so stealthy ninja can be found among them,  and all of these beauties are now available to you via Darcy's Star Hat Miniatures - Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! collection, launched today on Kickstarter.

The Delvers incarnate.

Being a bit of a dabbler in ye olde Photoshop and partaker in many things arty, I took it upon myself to do what I could to help; designing the backdrops for the individual figurines (shown below), the banner (above), and the Star Hat logo.

Archmage Merlot.

Half-Elf Pathfinder Martyn.

Dwarf Lord Borin.

Star Hat Miniatures.

The Star Hat logo I came up with was in fact designed based upon a previous illustration I had created of the minor God "Fubar" - authored by Darcy Perry, that appeared in the tome: the Revised and Expanded "Petty Gods" Compendium; available here...

(sold at cost for $22.47 USD through Lulu.com)

(sold at cost for $13.22 USD through Lulu.com)

(FREE through RPGNow)

Other creations by Darcy and myself can also be found within.

Fubar - Petty god of magical mishap and adventure.

Coming soon to a dungeon near you!

I can't wait to see this project come to fruition. The sculptures are truly amazing and would look fabulous in any dungeon. So don't miss out on a great opportunity to add some very classy figures to your collection. Head over to Kickstarter and back Darcy's Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom! You won't regret it.

Happy gaming!
